A medium to large-sized, evergreen, epiphytic orchid producing a clump of small, ovoid pseudobulbs, covered with leaf-bearing sheats. The leaves are linear or narrowly-oval, mid-green and leathery, up to 60cm long and 2-3cm wide. Established plants produce large number of pendulous flowering stems in spring, each up to 80cm long, carrying large numer of 3-4cm large flowers. Petals and sepals are green or yellow-green, occasionally with fine, pink spotted markings. The lip is white with dark pink or red markings at the base.
