A clump-forming deciduous perennial to around 45cm high and 65cm across. Leaves are oval with wavy edges and pointed tips, and golden yellow with narrow mid-green margins and deeply impressed veins. Loose clusters of pale lavender flowers are borne on upright stems in summer
