Bauhinia brachycarpa
A large shrub or small tree up to 5m tall in the wild but smaller in cultivation. Dark green leaves are nearly circular in shape and comprise two lobes that fold upwards in the evening. Small, white, four-petalled flowers are borne mid- to late summer in stalked clusters that arise from the shoots on the opposite side to the leaves
