Grass Like
Compact clump-forming, deciduous grass, about 60-90cm tall, with narrow, arching leaves, bright green in spring, flushed shades of purple, red and pink in summer which intensify in colour in autumn, then fade to pale brown in winter. Feathery flower panicles open red in late summer and early autumn, fading to creamy-beige and remaining on the plant over winter
