A perennial bulb, to around 12cm high, with narrow, grey-green leaves. Nodding double flowers are produced in late winter, with distinctive pointed outer petals, and flared inner petals marked with a broad, extended 'x' shape. Each bulb can produce two flowers in good conditions once established
