Curcuma 'Siam Splash Bicolour' (Siam Series)

A tropical perennial, with fleshy rhizomes, an upright habit and thin, lance-shaped green leaves with dark red midribs and pointed tips. Tiny, tubular flowers are encased in a cupped rosette of bracts at the end of flowering stems in summer; the upper bracts are bright pink with reddish purple tips

Cultivation

Grow in a well-drained but moisture retentive potting mix, in indirect, bright light in a warm conservatory, greenhouse or windowsill, in temperatures no lower than 18°C (65°F). Although related to the species used to produce turmeric, ornamental cultivars like this are not suitable for consumption. See houseplant cultivation for further advice
