An evergreen succulent to around 30cm in height, with rosettes of dark green, fleshy, bumpy-textured tapered leaves with toothed edges, which turn dark reddish-bronze in summer when the sunlight becomes stronger. Tube-shaped pinkish-red flowers appear on wiry stems once or twice a year

How to grow
Cultivation
Grow indoors in a container of peat-free, cacti potting compost, or peat-free, loam-based potting compost with added horticultural grit. Water moderately when in growth, very sparingly when dormant in winter. Apply a general liquid fertiliser monthly from May to August.
