A perennial bulb, to 25cm high, with pairs of lance-shaped, grey-green leaves, wrapped one around the other at the base. Solitary, nodding white flowers are produced in late winter, with the spathe curving over the top of the flower, and inner petals marked with blotches at the base and the tip and joined by faint green lines
