Fast-growing, evergreen tree native to sub tropical areas of Australia, to 10m tall, occasionally maturing to 15m. Leathery, oval, olive green leaves 10cm long are grey-green beneath. From summer to autumn, hibiscus-like pink flowers to 5cm across, with conspicuous golden-orange anthers are produced, followed by fuzzy brown capsules which release kidney-shaped seeds when ripe
