A semi-evergreen or deciduous shrub to maybe 3m high and across. The leaves are yellow-green and tri-foliate, with the central leaflet larger than the other two. The leaflets are roundish with a slightly wavey edge. The flowers are in clusters of pale yellow-green and of little decoration, but which become (on female plants if a male is also grown) orange-red berries.
