A clump-forming, deciduous, bulbous herbaceous perennial with glossy green strap-like leaves. Clusters of loose, purple bell-shaped flowers, green inside, open from the bottom up and appear on tall, upright spikes in the spring. An unusual colour combination. Seedheads provide interest over winter
