Herbaceous Perennial

An attractive, upright, perennial perfect for the UK climate and ideally suited to prairie gardens and meadows. Flowers have a prominent central orange cone surrounded by horizontal, slightly recurved ray petals that range from pink, purple, white and occasionally orange. It readily self-seeds and will survive the winter. Excellent for pollinators

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, humus rich, well drained soil in full sun. Surface sow onto moist but well drained seed compost and lightly cover with vermiculite. Maintain at a temperature of 20-24C. Transplant into pots when seedlings are large enough to handle. Alternatively, allow to self seed each year as part of a meadow
