A medium to large-sized, evergreen epihytic orchid, producing a clump of egg-shaped pseudobulbs, enclosed in six to ten, leaf-bearing sheaths. The leaves are linear, dark-green and leathery, 60-80cm long and 1.5-3cm wide. Upright and arching flowering stems emerge from the base of mature pseudobulbs in late winter and spring. Each flowering stem measures up to 80cm, and carries up to 20 flowers. The flowers are star-shaped, cream, pale yellow or pale green, waxy and long-lasting
