An epiphytic, evergreen orchid producing a clump of small, oval-shaped, 2-3cm tall pseudobulbs. Each pseudobulb carries one, up to 50cm long and 0.5cm wide, linear leaf. In late winter and spring, flowers emerge from the base of the new pseudobulbs. Each 2cm large flower is carried on a 1.5cm short stem. Waxy, long-lasting flowers vary in colour - from yellow-brown and red to dark maroon
