An epiphytic, evergreen orchid producing a clump of 2cm small, oval-shaped pseudobulbs growing from a long, upright or pendulous rhizome, completely covered in thin sheaths. Each pseudobulb carries one, 25cm long a 0.5cm wide, linear, grassy leaf. Free-flowering throughout the year, flowering stems emerge from the base of mature pseudobulbs. Each 1cm short stem carries a single, brown-red flower with wine-red lip with white tip. Flowers are fragrant, measuring 1.5 -2.5cm across
