A small to medium-sized, evergreen orchid up to 40cm tall, producing a clump of egg-shaped pseudobulbs, carrying linear, dark-green, leathery leaves. New flowering stems emerge from the base of young mature pseudobulbs in winter and spring. Each stem is up to 40cm tall, carrying up to twenty 4-5cm large flowers.
