A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing open fleshy rosettes, the wide leaves shading from rose-red and green in spring, then during summer becomes a lighter green. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
