A clump-forming herbaceous perennial, growing to 10–50 cm tall, with round to kidney-shaped, soft green leaves that are slightly crinkled in texture, sparsely hairy, and feature nine to eleven lobes with broad, irregular, and slightly rounded teeth, giving the leaf edges a scalloped appearance. From May to October, it produces small, greenish-yellow flowers in loose clusters
