An evergreen succulent, producing rosettes of thick, slightly blue-green leaves with pointed tips. Leaves flush pinkish red in spring and summer, sometimes with a purple cast. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers are produced from mature rosettes in summer; these die off after flowering and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
