A vigorous, mat-forming evergreen succulent, producing large rosettes of fleshy leaves that are pink at the base and lime green at the tips. Pink colour intensifies in summer. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers are produced from mature rosettes in summer; these die off after flowering and are replaced by new offsets
