A tender, mound-forming to semi-trailing perennial, mostly grown as an annual for summer container or bedding displays. It has ovate, sticky and hairy, green to grey-green leaves and, from late spring into autumn, white trumpet-shaped flowers blushed with mauve-pink veining and large green centres
