A dwarf, clump-forming, bulbous perennial to around 20cm high, with green, strap-shaped leaves. Lightly fragrant, bright yellow, pointed flowers with swept-back petals, emerald green shadng on the backs and with a frilled yellow cup, appear in March. 'Foletta' means 'Pixie' in Italian and these flowers look a little bit like a pixie hat. Great for an alpine display, for showing and for cutting
