A dwarf, clump-forming, bulbous perennial to around 20cm high, with green, strap-shaped leaves. Bright green-yellow buds open in spring to one or two yellow flowers per stem, orange-yellow in the centre to start with turning to a vivid yellow later

How to Grow

Cultivation

Plant at one and a half to two times its own depth in autumn. Will tolerate most soils but prefers moderately fertile, well-drained soil that is constantly moist during the growing season. See daffodil cultivation for further advice
