A distinctive, rare, small tuberous climbing perennial to around 1.5m in height with upright, elongated stems producing broadly ovate, heavily ribbed green leaves. Large, flared, bright pink flowers with white and yellow, black spotted inner petals appear in spring and summer, followed by large seed pods, which when mature, look very similar to lemons when viewed from a distance
