A neat, compact, clump-forming, deciduous, herbaceous perennial to a height of around 70cm with green, arching, strap-like leaves. Masses of bright, violet-blue flowers appear on multiple flower stems from early summer through to the autumn, even on young plants. Generally more hardy over winter than other varieties and can be left in the ground in milder areas
