Alpine Rockery Cactus Succulent

A low-growing, hardy, evergreen perennial to around 10cm in height, forming large rosettes of intense, maroon-red, pointed, succulent leaves. Starry pink flowers are held in clusters on leafy stems in the summer. The rosettes die after flowering but are replaced by offsets on lateral runners. Drought-tolerant once established and a great option for rock gardens, pots and containers and green roofs

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in poor to moderately fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun. In pots use a 50:50 mix of peat-free, loam-based potting compost and grit. Protect from excessive winter wet. See hardy cacti and succulent cultivation
