A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing large, fleshy rosettes, the wide, spoon-shaped, pale grey-green leaves, with flushes of lilac-rose on the inner leaf surfaces in spring and summer become a ghostly deep rose red in winter. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
