A low-growing, mat-forming evergreen perennial succulent with clusters of jelly-bean like leaves which vary in colour from green, yellow, orange, brown and red depending on the season and fluctuations in temperature. Star-shaped white flowers appear in spring to summer. Equally works well as ground cover, in pots and containers or a rock garden
