A mat-forming, evergreen succulent producing fleshy rosettes, the long pointed leaves shading from purple-red to green at the tips, are especially bright in spring and summer, and green in winter. Tall spikes of starry pink flowers produced from mature rosettes, die off after flowering in summer and are replaced by new offsets

Cultivation
