A vigorous, dense and spreading rhizomatous perennial to 60cm tall, with arching, somewhat zig-zagging stems and ovate, stem-clasping leaves. In late summer and autumn it produces upward-facing, lilac-pink flowers with darker purple spotting. Grow in a woodland garden or shady border
