A clump-forming perennial to 35cm high. Leaves are heart-shaped, dark green with a silvery-blue waxy sheen and deeply impressed veins, held on short stems giving a low, dense habit. Produces loose clusters of bell-shaped, pale greyish-white flowers on upright stems in mid summer
