Grasses
Grasses, and the grass-like rushes and sedges, make an excellent addition to any garden. True grasses, including ornamental grasses and bamboos, generally prefer sunny, well-drained spots and are often drought tolerant once established. Rushes and sedges have similar strap like leaves to grasses, but are a different botanical family. They usually prefer damper conditions than grasses and some will happily grow in shade.
