'Lemon Fizz' is a compact, rounded, evergreen shrub to 50cm tall. Bright, lemon yellow, pinhead-like flowers are borne in summer above the aromatic, yellow-green, dissected foliage
'Small-Ness' is a dwarf evergreen shrub to 20cm tall, with narrow, finely divided, grey-green leaves and button-like, bright yellow flower heads 1cm across in summer
S. rosmarinifolia subsp. rosmarinifolia is a spreading evergreen shrub to 60cm tall, with finely dissected green leaves and bright yellow flower heads 2cm wide in mid summer

Santolina rosmarinifolia subsp. rosmarinifolia and Santolina pinnata subsp. neapolitana are delicate-looking evergreen shrubs which would be at home in a herbaceous border
It also lends itself to Mediterranean-style drought-tolerant planting so things like lavender, euphorbias, Cistus , Santolina and Phlomis are ideal and provide plenty of nectar and pollen for visiting insects...Santolina
Santolina 'Primrose Gem...In Santolina rosmarinifolia subsp . rosmarinifolia ?Primrose Gem? the leaves are an unusually bright green while the mass of flowers are delightful primrose yellow ? all held on a twiggy little shrub that responds well to annual spring pruning
The main feature is a formal garden behind the house, where box-edged beds are filled with santolina, lavender and sage, alongside the beautifully planted Edwardian borders
In winter, visitors come to see a large collection of frosted topiary and clipped hedges, with further symmetry of domed lavender and santolina
In the Spiral Garden it grows through the fine foliage of Symphyotrichum ericoides 'Rosy Veil' with the grey-green finely divided leaves of Santolina and Helichrysum italicum (curry plant) placed in front
We also take the opportunity to prune lots of the shrubs such as lavenders, cotton lavender ( Santolina ), Perovskia and Brachyglottis...
