Self-guided school visits at RHS Garden Bridgewater

Schools can visit on an entirely self-guided basis or combine an education workshop with self-guided time in the garden. We have a wealth of resources to help plan your own outdoor learning activities

How to book a self-guided school visit to the garden

  • If you would like to book a free self-guided visit to the garden, please contact us for a booking link by emailing [email protected]
  • Schools booking a self-guided visit only (i.e. one that does not include an education workshop) will not be allocated use of a Learning Studio, lunchroom or education toilets.

  • Self-guided visits are suitable for school groups of up to 60 pupils
  • There is an outdoor picnic area in Woodland Play suitable for use by self-guided groups to eat lunches
  • We have a collection of self-guided resources (below) for teachers to use as part of their visit to the garden

All pre-booked educational visits are free of charge. If you feel able to give a donation to the RHS to help support our educational work this would be much appreciated; we ask you to consider a donation of £3 per child for your visit.

Resources for self-guided school visits

Download our range of materials and activities for self-guided groups to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Perhaps spend some time taking part in a trail, spotting the hidden wildlife or creating some natural art.
