About the garden
Parham Park Limited
Parham's magnificent gardens are a series of interlocking pictures, woven into each other with a tapestry-like effect, designed to excite for a long season, peaking in summer and late autumn.
The beautiful four-acre 18th century walled garden includes a vegetable garden, orchard and wonderful 1920s Wendy House. Its opulent mixed borders and abundant glasshouse provide flowers and plants to decorate every room in the house, an old Parham tradition for more than 70 years. The adjoining Pleasure Grounds include a lake, many specimen trees and a brick and turf maze.
Parham House and Gardens are surrounded by some 875 acres of agricultural forestry land, including designated areas of Special Scientific Interest. The 300 acres of ancient deer park around the house contain fallow deer, the descendants of the original herd first recorded in 1628.
There is a plant nursery offering a wide range of carefully selected and interesting plants for sale. Visitors can also enjoy a selection of home-made cakes and light lunches in the Big Kitchen or Mower Shed. All dishes are freshly prepared using locally sourced food including produce from Parham’s own gardens where possible.
