About the garden
Home to the Rogers family since 1840, Riverhill Himalayan Gardens is renowned for its beautiful, historic gardens, surprising planting and expansive views across the Weald of Kent. Seasonal highlights include spectacular bluebell woods in April and May, rhododendrons and azaleas in May, alliums and peony borders in June, roses in July and August and autumn colour in October.
The Walled Garden features sculptural terraced lawns and water feature. A fragrant rose walk leads to the newly restored Rock Garden, awash with dappled light, rare ferns and gentle water cascades. The Wood Garden contains a historic rhododendron collection, while the Little Everest Viewpoint offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. There is also an adventure playground with a twisty slide and treehouse, a fiendishly tricky hedge maze, den-building woods and Yeti spotting.
