About the garden

Owned by
Sue Beesley

This 0.8ha (2 acre) garden is set in the quiet Cheshire countryside, alongside the Trent & Mersey Canal. It features large herbaceous beds and borders full of colour from April to September. Meandering lawn paths take you through an orchard meadow, large herbaceous borders, gravel garden and shade gardens, each with their own distinctive feel.

In 2022 a new walled garden was created, featuring raised vegetable beds and a fine greenhouse. The adjacent exotic garden has been fully replanted with access through a new pergola walk. Other additions include a new pond with cascade and redeveloped cottage garden planting near the house. The bluebell woods are open in April and May. Enjoy tea and cakes in the pretty tea room and browse the well-stocked nursery specialising in hardy perennials. There is also a picnic area.
