A Mary Berry Christmas at RHS Garden Wisley

Watch RHS Ambassador Dame Mary Berry and Alison Steadman celebrate festive traditions at RHS Wisley on BBC’s A Mary Berry Christmas

This festive season RHS Garden Wisley features in a BBC one-hour Christmas special A Mary Berry Christmas. Exploring some of the traditions that make this time of year so special, RHS Ambassador Dame Mary Berry and legendary actor Alison Steadman visited the garden to enjoy the festive illuminations at RHS Glow and were filmed preparing two Christmas recipes in the Glasshouse.

After dark as the garden transforms into a world of festive wonders, Mary and Alison were filmed taking a stroll through the spectacular Wisteria Walk decorated with thousands of twinkling lights for RHS Glow and enjoyed a warming mulled wine as they watched the fountain and fire display in front of the garden’s iconic Old Laboratory.

As Mary celebrates Christmas traditions, including delicious food, Christmas lights, carols and picking the Christmas tree, she is also joined on the programme by Olympic sprinter and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and the broadcaster and presenter Zoe Ball. Mary’s exceptional recipes will include Pigs in Blankets Cassoulet, Roast King Mushrooms with Chestnut Stuffing, a magnificent Cherry and Lemon Mille Feuille and a grand finale of Pear and Ginger Steamed Pudding.

A Mary Berry Christmas will be broadcast on Wednesday 17 December at 9pm on BBC One, Sunday 21 December at 12 noon on BBC One and on Christmas Eve Wednesday 24 December at 2.05pm on BBC Two, and will be available on BBC iPlayer.
