RHS Connected Communities Grant application terms and conditions 2022/23

By completing an application for the RHS Connected Communities Grant the applicant (and their organisation) agree to the following:

  • The person submitting the application confirms they have permission to make the application on behalf of their Organisation and that all information provided is correct and true
  • The applicant confirms that they are registered with one of the following RHS programmes: Britain in Bloom; It’s Your Neighbourhood
  • The applicant accepts that all grants will be £2,500
  • The RHS and the Organisation acknowledge that the grant is not consideration for any taxable supply for VAT purposes. The Organisation will not be paid any amounts in respect of VAT in addition to the grant
  • The Organisation confirms it is UK or Channel Islands registered and has its own organisational bank account
  • The Organisation is responsible for the delivery of the project and therefore the health and safety of participants, volunteers and staff. Relevant policies and procedures will be expected to be in place for the duration of the RHS-funded project including but not limited to: safeguarding, insurance and risk assessment
  • Where the project is being run as a partnership, the Organisation named in the application form will be the lead partner and therefore take responsibility for the grant. This includes being the first point of contact with the RHS, the grant being paid into its account, having relevant policies and practices in place, keeping the RHS updated, and fulfilling any reporting requirements

  • The Organisation agrees that if its application is successful, details of its project including organisation name and project title can be used by the RHS in publicity and promotional activities, including press releases, internal and external publications, photography, filming and social media
  • If its application is successful, the Organisation agrees to keep the RHS up-to-date on its project throughout the year and will provide any requested reports, statistics and digital media to support the evaluation, communication and promotion of RHS Communities funding
  • The Organisation agrees that if its application is successful the grant will be used solely to fund the project outlined in its submitted application other than in extenuating circumstances and with permission from the RHS. The RHS may require repayment of all or any part of the grant if it is used for any other purpose
  • The applicant understands that if their application is successful they will be required to sign a Grant Agreement and provide evidence of their organisation’s bank account details before the grant can be paid to them
  • Data Protection Statement: The applicant agrees that the RHS can hold name and contact details and contact them in relation to the RHS Connected Communities Grant.
