Terms & Conditions for RHS Refer a friend Prize Draw to win a Christmas hamper

  1. The Royal Horticultural Society with registered charity numbers 222879/SC038262 of 80 Vincent Square, London, SW1P 2PE (the RHS) is the promoter of the prize draw.
  2. The prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over, except employees of the RHS, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of the prize draw.
  3. The prize draw is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary. There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person and joint submissions are not permitted.
  4. All entries should be submitted via https://www.rhs.org.uk/membership/refer-a-friend webpage when referring a friend to RHS Membership.
  5. The prize draw runs from 12.01am on 27 November 2025 (the Opening Date) until 11.59pm on 17 December 2025 (the Closing Date). Entries received after this time will not be valid.
  6. A winner will be selected after the Closing Date by a random draw performed by a computer process on 18 December 2025 (Draw Date).
  7. The winner will receive an RHS Hamper to the value of £185 RRP. Including Burgon Ball x RHS Kneeling Pad, RHS Chutney Selection, RHS Butter Shortbread Biscuits, RHS Garden Mug, 2 RHS flower seeds, RHS x Burgon Ball Trowel, RHS Thermal Socks, RHS 2026 Gardens Calendar, COOK ‘Serve Up Joy’ cookbook and COOK gift card.
  8. Any incomplete entries will not be considered valid for the prize draw. The RHS accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not completed due to technical interruption, fault, site failure or any other reason.
  9. The winner will be notified by email or phone (using the details provided at entry). If the winner does not respond to the RHS within 5 working days of being notified by the RHS, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited. The RHS may select another winner following the process described above.
  10. The prize will be sent to the winner by post within 10 days of the winner confirming their email address.
  11. The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
  12. The RHS reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the RHS's control makes it necessary to do so.
  13. The decision of the RHS regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
  14. The RHS must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the RHS will send the surname and county of the prize winner to anyone who emails [email protected] within one month after the Closing Date. If you object to either or both of your surname and county being published or made available, please contact the RHS at [email protected]. In such circumstances, the RHS must still provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  15. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The RHS reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize, to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  16. The RHS reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  17. Insofar as is permitted by law, the RHS, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the RHS, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  18. The prize draw is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  19. Privacy Statement: Unless you have chosen to receive other information from us, your personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be used by the RHS for the purpose of running the prize draw, including contacting the winner and distributing the prize, and as set out in condition 14 regarding the announcement of the winner. The personal data of the winner will be kept for a period of 140 days from the Closing Date and then deleted. For all other entrants, the retention period is 60 days.
