A fast-growing, spreading culinary herb to around 30cm in height, with aromatic, semi-evergreen, dark green toothed foliage which develops a purple tinge if exposed to cooler night-time temperatures. Small, white, cone-shaped flowers appear in summer. Provides excellent groundcover and can also be used as a trailing plant in pots, containers and hanging baskets. The leaves have a sweetly intense flavour and contain camphor, but may be used sparingly in drinks and fruit salads
