A tall, tuberous-rooted perennial to 1.2m, with mid-green foliage, blooming from mid-summer to the first frosts. Flowers are about 13cm across, bright coral-pink shading to bright yellow in the centre. As the outer petals open the edges roll under, creating a sunburst effect

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in full sun, in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and general-purpose fertiliser. Pinch out growing tips to encourage bushy plants. Water freely in dry periods. Propagation

Propagate by softwood cuttings taken in spring from shoots from stored tubers, or divide the tubers, ensuring each section has at least one viable bud

Pruning
