A perennial with leafy stems to 1.2m tall; leaves are divided into 15-35 small, elliptic leaflets up to around 3cm long. Densely-packed clusters of pea-like, white to greenish-yellow flowers are borne on spikes to 15cm long emerging from leaf axils at the ends of branching stems
