A clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial to 90cm tall with upright, narrow foliage. Large ruffled flowers are borne in summer and comprise dark purple dappled and shadedfalls turning reddish-purple with age and paler lavender-grey standards with red-purple veining

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in any good garden soil that is preferably moist but not waterlogged. In drier soils, dig in well-rotted organic matter before planting then apply as a mulch each spring
