Aquatic Bogs Grass Like

A vigorous, grass-like clump-forming perennial up to 75cm in height, 1.5m in flower, with narrow leaves with creamy white margins and occasional narrow stripes into the leaf blade. These are brighter on young and new growth, and best in shade. Tall stems bear slender, drooping green flower spikes, later turning brown.

How to Grow

Cultivation

Propagate by division between mid-spring and early summer

Pruning

Remove flower stems to prevent seeding. Cut out any dead foliage as it appears. Can be cut back hard (to 20-30cm) in late winter before the flower stems appear from early March onwards.
