A dwarf variety of this upright perennial succulent shrub with thick, fleshy, branching stems with rounded fleshy green leaves often edged with red. Flat clusters of small starry pale pink flowers appear in autumn.

How to grow

Cultivation

Grow under glass in a standard cactus potting mix, containers may be moved outdoors in summer (minimum temperatures 5-7ºC). Water moderately when in growth, very sparingly when dormant. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser 2 or 3 times in the growing season. See houseplant cacti and succulent cultivation

Propagation

Propagate by seed sown in early spring at 15-18ºC, or by softwood or leaf cuttings in spring or summer
