Trudelia cristata
A small-sized, evergreen, tropical orchid species. As a monopodial orchids, the new growth emerges from the tip of a long central rhizome. V-shaped, linear leaves angle out from the main stem, and as the new ones grow from the top, old, lower leaves gradually fall off. New roots grow straight out of the main stem, following the acsending growing trend. Short inflorescences, carrying 2-6 flowers appear from the leaf axils in spring and summer. Flower are waxy, thick-textured, yellow-green. Characteristic for this species are two distinct horns on the tip of the white flower lip covered with dark red markings. Each flower is 2.5 - 5cm across.
