An evergreeen perennial to around 50cm tall with basal rosettes of lance-shaped leaves. In summer and autumn, upright, leafy, branching stems bear cornflower-like flowerheads up to 7.5cm across that open white before ageing to shades of pale purple and purple-blue whilst retaining their white centres
