A medium sized pumpkin, producing plants with stems up to 90cm (3ft) high and 2.4m (8ft) across. Bright orange, ribbed pumpkins, three or four to a plant, are produced late in the season and can weigh from 5-9 kg (12-20 lbs) The pumpkins store well over winter after being fully ripened on the plant before harvesting.

How to Grow

Cultivation

Grow in fertile, moisture retentive but well drained, acidic to neutral soil in full sun. Sow indoors March to May in good quality seed compost. Sow the seeds on their side 1cm deep and maintain a constant temperature of 18-21C. Feed regularly with a high potassium fertiliser when the first fruits start to swell.
