A late, desert apple, a sport of 'Braeburn' with more extensive red flushing, and crisp, juicy, refreshing, pale cream flesh. Spreading trees produce a heavy crop in mid- to late autumn which stores to late winter. Self-fertile, but crops better with a pollinator from group 4 or 5. Requires a cold winter and long, hot summer so rarely performs well in the UK
